Office Services Specialist serves as a member of the Continuing and Professional Education (CPE) team to manage the daily functions through oversight of the reception area, providing information and referrals to walk-ins, electronic and telephone customers, and distributing and receiving printed program materials. This position directs requests for general CPE and manages participant account status; assists the registration staff with reconciliation and finalization for attendance and payment records for program closure; communicates to enable participants to successfully complete the enrollment process; performs general administrative duties and provides support to CPE as needed.
- Must demonstrate previous customer service and/or administrative support experience in a high volume academic or business setting. - Display the capability to work independently with a minimum of supervision in a team environment. - Must have the ability to work with many details both written and financial with high accuracy. - Exhibit extensive computer experience such as Microsoft Office, databases, and email applications. - Must have strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills and the ability to interact comfortably and courteously with individuals in a diverse multicultural environment.
- Experience related to outreach programs in a university or related setting. - Knowledge of agency policies and procedures as related to university and/or state operations. - Fiscal processing experience such as funds handling and auditing records.
