The School of Chemical, Biological, and Environmental Engineering (CBEE) at Oregon State University (OSU) invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month, fixed term Manager of Student Services. Reappointment is at the discretion of the School Head.
The School of CBEE emphasizes a culture of collegiality and excellence in both research and education. CBEE has 33 teaching faculty and enrolls over 1100 undergraduate and graduate students.
The Manager of Student Services will supervise professional staff members, manage the day-to-day activities of graduate and undergraduate programs in CBEE, and serve as a lead advisor for students in academic difficulty. This management would include all aspects of student service provision including advising at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and student internship and career assistance.

Typically requires Bachelor's Degree in related field to program focus. Experience working with population of program participants.
Bachelor's degree in business, education administration, engineering, or other related field.
Experience supporting student service activities with demonstrable progressive responsibility.
Supervision or lead experience in an organization.
Demonstrated ability to act independently and to work within a team.
Demonstrated excellence in organization, critical thinking skills, decision-making, problem-solving, and creating a collaborative environment.
Proven excellent oral and written communication skills.
Life experience, education, and/or training that broadens capacity to build a more inclusive, collaborative and diverse community, centered on student success.
Demonstrated computer skills and experience using student data software (such as Ellucian Banner, Core, SIS+ PeopleSoft, etc) and office support software (such as Excel, Power Point, Word, MS Access, Adobe Acrobat, etc.).
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 24 months.
Typical office environment with standard operating hours of Monday – Friday, 8-5. May include some of evenings and/or weekends.
