The Brown University Division of Advancement seeks qualified applicants for the position of Manager, Office of the Senior Vice President for University Advancement.
The Manager supports the work of the Office of the Senior Vice President for University Advancement (SVP) by directing, coordinating and supervising administrative functions within the Office of Advancement. The position is responsible for high-level communications and clear and concise information flow between and among all Advancement departments, executive offices and external contacts and colleagues. This position provides technical and logistic support for the SVP and his/her direct reports. The Manager will also oversee a staff of two Executive Assistants who carry out day-to-day activities in the SVPâ™s office and provide support to other senior administrators.
Bachelorâ™s degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience as an executive assistant or office manager highly preferred.
Proficiency with general computing applications (Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), calendar applications, and email/communications applications.
Demonstrated excellent written and oral communications skills, including the ability to deal effectively with a wide range of university constituencies.
Tact, discretion, sound judgment and initiative.
Professional demeanor, with the ability to project a positive image and represent Advancement effectively
Demonstrated problem-solving and organizational skills.
Ability to work frequent nights and weekends and conform to the SVPâ™s personal schedule.
