The MBA@UNC program is an online degree program that provides the unique opportunity to obtain UNC Kenan-Flagler business education from anywhere in the world. The program uses state-of-the-art virtual campus technology to ensure that program quality is equivalent to that of Kenan-Flagler’s on-campus programs. Students in the online program are held to the same high standards as residential students, receive top-quality education, and study with the same faculty as residential students. Classes are hosted live using video-conferencing technology to deliver a face-to-face experience between students and professors. In addition, students receive real-world learning experiences by meeting face-to-face at select locations for leadership training, networking and new learning experiences.
The Assistant Director of Admissions & Student Recruitment is a member of an admissions team that is responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of students into the MBA@UNC program. The Assistant Director is responsible for generating highly qualified candidates for matriculation into the program on a quarterly basis (July, October, January, and April). The Assistant Director oversees the application process for MBA@UNC, which receives approximately 1,200 completed applications per academic year. The Assistant Director is a member of the admissions committee with responsibilities that include evaluating applications, conducting applicant interviews, recommending admissions decisions, and participates as a voting member of the admissions committee.. The Assistant Director will represent the program at recruiting events, advise prospective applicants, and engage students, alumni, and faculty in the student recruitment process. The Assistant Director will travel regularly for the admissions office throughout the academic year. The Assistant Director will be responsible for gathering data to measure against our enrollment goals, completing surveys and rankings, generating end of year reports, and other data requests. The Assistant Director will work collaboratively with many colleagues across the School and develop relationships with faculty, students, and alumni to enhance the effectiveness of the MBA@UNC admissions function and ensure successful achievement of enrollment objectives. The Assistant Director of Admissions & Student Recruitment will report to the Senior Associate Director of Admissions & Student Recruitment, MBA@UNC.
Education and Experience:
QUALIFICATIONSANDEXPERIENCEREQUIRED – -1-3 years of admissions or sales experience - Superior oral and written communication skills. Excellent presentation skills in both one-on-one and large group settings. - Strong capabilities with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook). -Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. -Desire to work in an online campus environment. -High attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to navigate multiple tasks under competing deadlines and shifting priorities -Experience with software, databases, and technologies used to manage the admissions process is strongly preferred -Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed
