And you'll do your life's best work.(sm) Primary Responsibilities:Manages all daily clinical records functions including establishing and implementing clinical records policiesEnsures clinical record systems are maintained in compliance with state, federal and regulationsMaintains comprehensive working knowledge of state, federal regulations and serves as a resource for appropriate organization personnelProtects all clinical records through the establishment and implementation of control procedures for all open and closed recordsProtects the confidentiality of patient and organization information through effective controls and direct supervision of clinical recordsForwards copies of clinical records to authorized users according to policyCompletes an administrative record audit following patient discharge and forwards abnormal results to the Clinical Director or their designee for clinical auditMonitors aged unsigned physician orders and submit second and third requests for signed orders to overdue physicians, calls or visit the offices of seriously overdue physiciansSupervises the use of the clinical records information system and maintains a comprehensive working knowledge of the system including upgrades and enhancementsAll other duties assigned by Management
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree2+ years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting2+ years of experience working with diagnostic reportsPreferred Qualifications:Kinesiology degree or Foreign Medical GraduateStrong knowledge of Medial Records and Medical TerminologyKnowledge of diagnosticsAble to follow routine procedures consistently and efficientlyAble to lead and motivate othersAble to work independently, and in conjunction with team members at all levels of the organizationAble to understand instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDetail-oriented, Organized, and AdaptableAble to consistently follow throughSelf-motivatedProficient in general computer use and Microsoft Office SuiteIf the hired individual resides in Florida (office based or telecommuting) this position requires the AHCA Level II background check (fingerprinting) by the State of Florida for all clinicians that have direct face to face contact with members OR employees who will have access to confidential patient data and will require renewal every five years.
