The HRIS Analyst will serve as an HR expert for the HR module of AU’s ERP system (Ellucian Colleague) and work closely with the Office of Information Technology on UAT and corrections or enhancements to custom Colleague applications such as the e-action system, the Faculty Status System and the 403(b) Management system. This position oversees user acceptance testing for upgrades; and implements/processes data uploads to the system. The HRIS Analyst also handles routine data requests from HR staff as well as external departments, including the Affirmative Action report and IPEDS data. This position requires self-direction and minimal degree of supervision.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
5 years of related work experience
Must demonstrate an aptitude for database structure and develop expertise in the Ellucian Colleague HR module file structure and functionality, understanding core HR processes for hiring, paying and terminating employees
Must have experience writing queries using reporting software such as Informer, Tableau and or Microstrategy
Must be customer focused
Communicate well; be detail oriented
Work well in a team environment
Collaborate with all levels within the university
Be a problem solver and analytical thinker as well as demonstrate flexibility and initiative; and be supportive of a diverse and inclusive environment
Experience with Colleague file structure, SQL queries and metrics a plus
