The West Virginia University Research Corporation is seeking applications for a Research Assistant. The purpose of this position is to assist the Principal Investigator (PI) and Project Coordinator in conducting clinical and community-based research studies.
In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will:
Comply with all IRB and regulatory policies and procedures for the conduct of research.
Prepare, submit, and amend study-related IRB protocols.
Assist with recruiting and retaining patients/participants for research studies, including assembling recruitment mailings, recruiting in-person from clinic or community sites, obtaining informed consent, and tracking enrollment.
Interview participants in person or by telephone and administer questionnaires.
Collect clinical, anthropometric, and performance-based data from study patients/participants.
Check data for completeness and accuracy.
Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field
Three (3) years of experience assisting in conducting adult research
An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered
