This Clinical Value Analysis (CVA) Coordinator position is a key component to meeting this objective. CVA is a collaborative system that uses a strategic but standardized process to ensure the products, technologies and services chosen support the highest level of care for our patients. CVA drives standardization, where possible, to improve patient outcomes and quality.
Primary duties include:
TEAMWORK / FACILITATION: Work collaboratively with physicians, clinicians, supply chain management, and vendors to make product / service decisions which allow for highest level of quality and patient outcomes at lowest possible cost.
ANALYSIS / IMPLEMENT: Utilize standardized tools, and keen attention to detail, to assist in the clinical product and service selection process for ProMedica, connecting this selection into the supply chain transactional execution to ensure vendor price and delivery compliance.
LEADERSHIP / STRATEGIZE: Work within a multi-disciplinary team framework to strategically and operationally align clinical and business goals.
RESEARCH / STANDARDIZE: Standardize and rationalize expensive physician preference items and services in alignment with physician needs for designated service line.
Bachelor’s Degree required. Nursing license in State of Ohio or Michigan preferred or applicable certification in Orthopedic and/or spine service lines
Minimum of (3) years of clinical or business experience in applicable service line(s)
Surgical experience in the orthopedic and/or spine service lines preferred
Must have initiative and problem solving / analytical skills and keen attention to detail
Must have proficient computer skills in the following: Windows, Word, and Excel. Basic knowledge of PowerPoint and Access is a plus.
Must be organized, flexible, and able to work independently. Must be customer services oriented.
Evidence of a strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate multi-disciplinary teams.
Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Management, Crucial Confrontations and bench-marking preferred.
