The University of Maryland School of Medicine has an opportunity for an Accounting Clerk I in the Center for Mental Health Research Services in the Department of Psychiatry. Under direct supervision, the selected candidate performs routine repetitive accounting, clerical, or bookkeeping tasks to support accounting functions.

Work with faculty and staff to process travel request, including out-of-state and in-state travel.
Submit out-of-state travel for anyone traveling out of the Maryland, DC and upper VA area.
Process travel expense forms for staff and /or other partners traveling on DPRS business.
Book rooms for partners; recruitment, speakers, participants, conferences.
Field incoming phone calls.
Purchase supplies for general supplies and supplies specific to projects, using the eUMB system.
Request quotes for services and purchases.
Track expenses and billing on projects.
Process Check deposits.
Perform office administrative tasks including copying, scanning, shredding, and filing.

Education: High school diploma or GED. Other: Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Basic knowledge of mathematical methods and techniques. Ability to perform basic mathematical computations; to operate manual and automated office equipment, personal computers and financial software, keyboards and calculators; to communicate effectively.
Based on the duties of this position, selected candidates are not eligible to participate in the Bargaining Unit (Union).
Salary Range: $27,586 - $29,270
