Design, develop and coordinate the delivery of customized presentations to campus groups on issues of equity and social justice.
Oversee, and participate in, the process to develop relationships with underserved student populations and community and business leaders
Provide assistance and support to college and university personnel in the design, implementation, and evaluation of efforts to enhance the orientation, motivation and preparation of protected class students for higher education
Provide leadership for campus alignment with both the BSU and NTC and Minnesota State's Cultural Diversity Plan
Provide leadership for the development and enhancement of systemic retention strategies for targeted, underserved populations.
Serve as the university representative for cultural diversity on local, state and national organizations and boards.
Collaborate with the Affirmative Action Officer to develop and conduct training programs in the areas of nondiscrimination and diversity.
Monitor and conduct analysis of statistical data with regard to recruitment and retention of protected class students.
Other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs and Dean of Students
Earned Master's degree in education or closely related field from a regionally accredited institution at the start of employment
Two years of management experience working with a diverse work groups (with representation from the protected class groups), preferably within a university.
Experience in designing, developing and implementing programs
Proven ability to network with protected class communities and targeted populations, and evidence of existing relationships
Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and develop strategic support for university-wide diversity goals and initiatives.
Teaching and training experience.
Proven ability to utilize computer technology.
Evidence of ability to make successful contributions in a fluid and changing environment
Demonstrated ability to lead conversations, consultations, problem solving situations, and conflict resolutions
Volunteer experience with professional associations helpful.
Applicant should demonstrate experience working with diverse populations

This is a Minnesota State University Associate of Administrative and Service Faculty (MSUAASF) Range C position with a salary range of $41,464 (minimum) to $71,819 (maximum). Salary is commensurate with education and experience, and is determined by the collective bargaining agreement between Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) and the MSUAASF organization.
