Create real-time reports and ad-hoc requests using College databases as requested by internal and external stakeholders of the College.
Participate in technical design, programming, report generation and utilize relational databases within these applications.
Determine appropriate methodology, data collection, analysis and dissemination that will have unit, department, college and state impact.
Provide technical advice and assistance to professional co-workers by developing protocols for research design and assisting in data collection and analysis.
Provide project implementation for the SLEDS grant.
Conduct research and analysis for data-informed decision-making.
Primary responsibilities related to the Minnesota Statewide Longitudinal Education Data System grant includes serving as Regional Analyst for the metro area representing both SLEDS and Century College.
Provide training and data support; as well as lead research projects through the design, analysis and sharing stages using SLEDS data.
Bachelor's degree in social science, computer science, statistics or related field (or combination of relevant work experience and college education).
Ability to develop, conceptualize, plan and implement research projects, as well as work with a student database system and data warehouses.
Proven experience with large, complex data sets and managing data quality -- both for statistical analysis and data management.
Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines; ability to prioritize and follow through on projects. Ability to react to changing situations and adapt to change in work demands, priorities, and procedures exercising good judgment, seeking alternatives and creative solutions.
Well-developed collaborative interpersonal communication skills with ability to communicate to non-technical audiences. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, interacting with a diverse array of faculty, students and staff; exercises sound judgment, tact, and discretion.
Knowledge and experience in the use of a variety of word processing, database, spreadsheet, graphics and statistical analysis software. Proficiency with MS Access is a plus.
Experience in Database Management.
Master's degree in statistics, research-intensive social sciences or a related field.
Experience in survey design.
Experience using Microsoft SQL Server (MS SQL), SQL Reporting Services.
Experience using Microsoft PowerBI.
Experience using Rapid Insight Veera.
Experience working with Minnesota State higher education data.
