Provides vision, leadership and management of key enrollment systems including Student Information System, admissions, and financial aid. Primary technology liaison with Harvard University Information Technology (HUIT), HKS Information Technology department, and key enrollment systems' vendors. The position blends functional skills – collecting business requirements, story and test plan development, knowledge transfer, with analytical and techno-functional skills - troubleshooting, application configuration and report development.
Ensures data quality and integrity for student life cycle from prospective students, to applicants, to admits, to registered students, to graduated students. This includes maintenance of admissions and registration portals, forms, and reports, and student financial aid system feeds. Provides technical knowledge, support, and training to system end users. Also includes improving the experience of student, faculty and administrators throughout the life cycle through business analysis and advocacy.
Develops admissions and enrollment reporting and analysis for the Office of Admissions, Registrar, Student Financial Services, and HKS senior leadership. This includes complex data management, data mining, responding to recurring and ad hoc requests, and creation of tailored reports.
Additionally, this position is responsible for the following:
Manage variety of database file uploads including feeds between admissions, registrar, student financial aid, and University systems.
Create and maintain user accounts for student information systems
Liaise with HKS IT to manage system upgrades, including testing and data integrity, weekly clean up of data issues
Design workflow processes/techniques for new or revised computer applications and processing data
Conduct and manage data analysis and statistical evaluation including daily, weekly, monthly, yearly and ad hoc reports for admissions, registrar, financial aid and enrollment management
Primary member of Degree Programs Data Committee, focusing on development of common data definitions and reporting
Other duties as required

B.A./B.S. and minimum of two years business systems or development work. Demonstrated intermediate level skills with SQL (or other relational database) and previous report writing experience.
Preferred work experience in higher education, with knowledge of enrollment planning, admissions operations and predictive modeling. Proven problem solving, time management, interpersonal, written communication and project management skills. Working knowledge of database mining and statistical research is highly desirable. Experience with products by Campus Solutions, Technolutions, Jenzabar, and College Board is a plus. Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
