The Fox Theatre in Atlanta is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Security Manager.
This position will manage all aspects of venue security operations to ensure a safe, secure, and enjoyable guest experience for internal and external guests. The Security Manager establishes and enforces security policies and procedures; supervises the in-house security guard force, provides oversight for contract security personnel, establishes and maintains liaison with the Atlanta Police Department and local security agencies.
Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise high quality security officers and guards.
Attend meetings with other managers to determine operational needs.
Plan and coordinate security operations for specific Fox Theatre events.
Review reports on incidents and security breaches.
Investigate and resolve security incidents and potential criminal acts.
Create reports for management on security status.
Analyze data to form proposals for security improvements (e.g. implementation of new technology and physical security modifications).
Oversee 24-hour security control center, including emergency notifications and response procedures.
Establish guidelines, policies, and procedures for successful operations to include, but not limited to emergency preparedness, preventive maintenance on security systems, risk management and accessibility.
Develop and manage security and life safety personnel to ensure alignment with service standards, organizational policies, and applicable regulations.
Provide coordination and direction in the design, review, specifications, and scheduling of security related construction projects and systems.

Education, Knowledge, and Skills:
Minimum of a Bachelors or Associates Degree required.
Must have experience in a major hospitality or live entertainment organization.
Must have a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in security and/or police operations.
Experience necessary to effectively manage and motivate a security staff, utilizing best practices, procedures, and ethics.
Required proficiency in the following Computer skills and systems – Microsoft Suite.
Experience preferred in CCTV systems, Computerized Access Control, and security alarm systems.
Able to prepare and manage security operations budget consistently, effectively and accurately.
Manage multiple security enhancement projects, both electronic and physical, involving in-house and outside contractors.
Demonstrated competencies in the areas of oral and written communications, customer service and business ethics are required.
Essential Physical Requirements:
Must be able to frequently remain in a stationary position for periods of time.
Must be able to frequently traverse building including moving between multiple floors.
Must be able to lift moderate amount of weight as needed.
Must be willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
