PT Clerical Assistant, North Shore Educational Opportunity Center, Lynn Campus
Non-benefited position, 15-18 hours per week
As a part of the EOC team, this position provides general support to the EOC program assisting with data entry, clerical, and organizational needs of the center.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Enters, updates, and runs reports in EOC's preferred database (Blumen);
Reviews client file forms for accuracy and check files for completion;
Provides general office support to the program director and EOC counselors;
Responds to internal and external communications including telephone, in person and email inquires and provides general program information;
Collaborates with college and TRIO staff, including Talent Search and Upward Bound;
Other duties as assigned.
About the Educational Opportunity Center:
North Shore Educational Opportunity Center is part of a statewide network of service sites that helps low-income and first-generation students gain access to higher education. Two full-time Advisors provide free one-on-one counseling to help clients identify a potential career path and the education programs and to understand the college application process, the financial aid process (how to complete FAFSA,) and how to pay for and succeed in the appropriate education program.
SALARY: $15.43 per hour. Non-benefited position, 15-18 hours per week.
Supervision Received: Director of EOC, ETS, and UB

One year experience in an officer or customer service setting;
Database and student records management experience preferred;
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of student records and information;
Strong office organization skills;
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office;
Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to establish a positive connection with the EOC team;
Familiarity with TRIO programs very desirable;
Successful experience interacting with and supporting culturally diverse populations.
