The Communications Coordinator plans, manages, and implements multifaceted marketing and communications campaigns that support alumni relations and fundraising. Reporting to the Director of University Advancement Communications, this position is part of a team whose mission is to increase the engagement of the university's multiple stakeholders through effective communications to promote donations to the university and inspire stronger relationships with the university.
- Coordinate the development and deployment of UA communication plans and deliverables, including the creation of proactive and reactive media relating to the department's fundraising and alumni relations functions in alignment with the strategic plan.
- Coordinate and develop UA web pages based on communications plans, brand guidelines, employing best practices for Website management, site flow and design direction, content development, SEO, and analytics.
- Coordinate and develop design-template projects, web/email communications, and social media integrations.
- Identify, recommend, and/or create processes, tools, and resources with new and emerging technologies or platforms to improve effectiveness and efficiencies for the UA Communications Team to help advance the university.
- Help with training and deployment of new processes and tools.
- Assigns and checks work and provides training for student interns. May provide feedback to supervisor to assist with work assignments and job performance.

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism or a related field
Progressive responsibility and experience in communications and/or marketing
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously from concept to production in a fast-paced environment
Software proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management systems knowledge
OR any combination of education and experience that clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the job
Higher education experience
Development or alumni relations communication/marketing experience
Experience managing marketing and communication for multiyear campaigns and multiple programs simultaneously
Demonstrated experience within one or more the following technical areas: web management, writing/editing, design, online/multimedia communications (i.e. web, email, video, photography, social media)

Salary: Dependent upon qualifications and experience
Working Conditions: Work is performed in an indoor office setting with frequent, in-person interactions. It is essential to be able to remain at a desk/computer work station for prolonged periods of time, perform extensive data entry, and other computer-related tasks and create/maintain filing systems for departmental records. It will also be essential to be able to travel across campus for meetings, tasks, events. Some evening or weekend work and/or occasional travel may be required.
