Burlington Pediatrics is a thriving general pediatrics practice with three locations in the enviable Triad/ Triangle region of North Carolina. We are privately-owned by the physician partners of our practice. With 9 physicians, 3 physician extenders, as well as 40+ clinical and administrative staff, we are the premier pediatrics group in the greater Burlington area. We are open Monday-Friday, with morning walk-in hours. We also offer urgent care each evening after 5PM, as well as on Saturdays and Sundays. We provide all aspects of routine medical care, from well-visits, sports physicals, sick visits, ADHD and Depression/ Anxiety management, to contraceptive counseling. We perform procedures including circumcisions, suturing, incision and drainage, Nexplanon management, and wart cryotherapy. Each of our locations has a comprehensive in-house lab that processes rapid strep/ flu/ RSV tests, CBC profiles, lipid screens, and cultures.
Our physicians hold privileges at Alamance Regional Medical Center, a member of the Cone Health System, where we provide care for the Newborn Nursery. The hospital also supports a Special Care Nursery, staffed by in-house Neonatologists.We take pride in our reputation for clinical excellence.
We are a NCQA Level 3 Patient Centered Medical Home. We have won numerous awards from the state, including our most recent recognition for our outstanding immunization rates. We are active members of Community Care of North Carolina (CCNC) and have been recognized for our exemplary management of chronic diseases such as asthma, based on our low ED and hospital admission rates. Our practice is a precepting site for the UNC School of Medicine and Elon University's Physician Assistant Program.Our practice has an Early Childhood Mental Health team and are active leaders in the Reach Out and Read, a program that promotes early literacy and school readiness.
Our physicians are leaders in the medical community and are actively involved in the NC Medical Society and NC Pediatric Society. They contribute to the local community, with participation in numerous civic and charitable organizations, including the Alamance Chamber of Commerce, the county School Board, and the Children's Museum of Alamance County. The greater Burlington area is strategically located on the I-85/ I-40 corridor that runs between Greensboro and Research Triangle Park. We are home to the headquarters of LabCorp, as well as Elon University. The economy is well diversified with one of the lowest unemployment rates in the state. It boasts an excellent school system with convenient access to metropolitan attractions in Greensboro, Chapel Hill and Durham. Our ideal candidate is a motivated, team-spirited BC/BE Pediatrician with excellent clinical training, a true team player engaged in the growth and success of our practice. We expect full-time physicians to work 4 days/ week (8:30AM- 5PM), with regular rotational call duties, including evening and weekend clinics. Call is equitably distributed, 1:10. The individual must attain an unrestricted North Carolina medical license and be Board Eligible/ Board Certified in Pediatrics. We expect competency in the use of Electronic Health Record systems, and will provide training for our system, Office Practicum.
