The Practice Manager is responsible for the management, coordination, administration and operational day to day activity of the Center for Occupational and Employee Medicine (COEM) and the Concierge Executive Health & Wellness Programs. Under the general guidance of the Ambulatory leadership. The position will be focused on facilitating convenient, accessible, and quality patient care in Occupational Medicine, Worker's Compensation Medicine, Employee Medical Services, and Concierge/Executive Health Medicine. Additionally, concentration on growth opportunities, resource management, policy and program development, and sound fiscal management. Responsible for direction of patient care that promotes safety and well-being of all patients in the Occupational Medicine and Concierge Department.
Plans, directs, coordinates and evaluates the overall clinical practice and administrative activities of front and back office staff, including: fiscal, equipment and human resource management. Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective communication within all departments, vendors, community, patients and staff, services the health system. Ensures charge capture is maximized and expenses are managed through on-going review and analysis of financial and clinical data. Analyses data, projects trends and assesses the actual target performance. Advises leadership on issues related to budget goals and objectives by recommending solutions. Prepares, submits, and reports analytical data, spreadsheets and any other business material as needed. Manages a full range of human resource processes including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, staff development and discipline. Supports department managers with new program development and other special projects.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business/Healthcare Administration or related field.
Five (5) years of experience in hospital/ambulatory clinical operations.
Demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills with ability to motivate, direct, and manage staff in accomplishing established goals and objectives.
Experience in developing measurements, monitoring and training to ensure goals and standards are consistently met and upheld.
Demonstrated ability in analyzing complex issues or problem, formulating and implementing creative solutions.
Demonstrated ability to determine the key business issues and conceptualize significant program enhancements to develop appropriate action plans from multidisciplinary perspectives.
Demonstrated ability to lead professionals through influence and collaboration.
Proficient in team building, conflict resolution, group interaction, project management, and budget management.
Strong skills in complex analytic problem solving, project management, change management, and group process.
Excellent business acumen and superb oral and written communication skills.
Skills to maintain a professional, ethical attitude.
Proven ability to develop long-term planning to ensure organization changes/goals are met.
Master's Degree or equivalent in Business Administration/Healthcare or related field.
Experience of working in ambulatory care clinic (preferably Occupational Medicine).
Experience with budgets, P&L accountability including performance against given budgets and performance metrics.
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
