UW Information Technology has an outstanding opportunity for an Operations Specialist.
The Operations Specialist will work as a member of the Integrated Change Management team and will play a role in ensuring that the HR/Payroll Modernization project is understood and accepted at UW by an array of affected constituents ranging from daily to occasional users of the system to other stakeholders who may raise questions or concerns regarding this effort, its associated costs, and outcomes / benefits.
The Speciaist will support the Organizational Change Managers and the Training Specialists in defining and implementing change management plans that maximize employee engagement to ensure successful adoption and transition to the new system, roles, policies, procedures and standardized processes.
This position will report to the Operations Lead. This position works closely with other members of the combined UW/Vendor Integrated Change Management team that is focused on change management, communications, and training. Additional responsibilities include providing logistics and project management support for these integrated change teams.
Strong group facilitation skills with demonstrated experience turning working session notes into high-quality deliverables.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, including active listening and the ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
Intermediate HTML, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint skills.
Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain positive working relationships with a wide array of stakeholders, colleagues, and staff.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team; ability to work collaboratively with and through others.
Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines within a fast-paced environment.
Strong customer focus and excellence in relationship management with key partners.
Experience working in higher education, large medical centers, or other large complex enterprises.
Advanced HTML, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint skills.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Appointment to this position is contingent upon obtaining satisfactory results from a criminal background check.
This position is funded through June 30, 2018, continued employment is dependent on funding and performance.
