This is the place to do your life's best work.(sm) The Associate Director of Vision Network Service is responsible for the full range of provider relations and service interactions within UnitedHealth Group, including contract negotiations, retention of network providers, working on end-to-end provider claim and call quality and training & development of external provider education programs. Associate Directors of Network Service design and implement programs to build and nurture positive relationships between our organization, providers and practice managers. Responsibilities also include directing and implementing strategies relating to the development and management of a provider network, identifying gaps in network composition, managing cost of care associated with provider reimbursement strategies to assist the network service staff in prioritizing their work and may also be involved in identifying and remediating operational short-falls and researching and remediating claims. Primary Responsibilities:Own end to end processes associated with managing the network Develop functional, market level, and/or site strategy, plans, production and/or organizational priorities to retain providers at a rate of 98% Identify and resolve technical, operational and organizational problems outside own team Manage product, service or process decisions that are most likely to impact entire functions and/or customer accounts (internal or external) Drive Employee Engagement consistent with the UnitedHealthcare cultural values
Required Qualifications:Undergraduate degree or 7+ years equivalent experience 5+ years of provider relations and/or network management experience 5+ years of management experience Expert level of knowledge of claims/systems processes, contracting and reimbursement methodologies and proven negotiation skills Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Word and Excel Travel 2-3 times per quarter for internal and external purposesPreferred Qualifications:Exceptional presentation, written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and remain on task Exceptional organization, planning and execution skills Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines from multi-staff members within the departmentCareers at UnitedHealthcare Employer & Individual.
