Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a FGP Pharmacist (40).
In this role, the successful candidate Review and prepares medication orders for dispensing to Arena Oncology Center patients. Advises practitioners regarding drug selection and therapy, reviews medication storage throughout the medical center and participates in educational activities to ensure compliance with all regulations.
Responsible for overseeing and assisting Pharmacy Technicians in medication handling functions. Including but not limited to the preparation and labeling of bulk sterile and un-sterile products, Omnicell restocking and emergency kit preparations.
Responsible for compounding sterile products product including chemotherapy and other hazardous substances.
Ensures accurate dispensing and timely distribution of drugs and medicines for patients
Provides drug information and consultation
Documents and maintains pharmaceutical records
Trains and monitors Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Students
Ensures security of Pharmacy
Professional development participates in projects/activities to maintain professional competency (seminars, journals, 15 hours of continuing education credit per year required by NYS)
Completes annual competency assessments
Documents clinical interventions
Answers telephone with courtesy and professionalism

Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent. NYS Pharmacy License and Registration. Strong communication and interpersonal skill.
Required Licenses: Pharmacist License-NYS
Preferred Qualifications: Completion of a PGY Accredited residency Board Certification (BCOP)
