Which is why your performance and innovation will find a reception here like nowhere else while you do your life's best work.(sm) Primary Responsibilities:Use sophisticated models develop monthly revenue projections on Part D book of business (work closely with Finance and other areas); includes utilization level by channel, cost / Rx inflation, generic launches, etc.Produce book of business trend analytics and trend reporting package (used by CFO, clinical and specialty teams on quarterly basis)Develop new & enhanced modeling capabilities - a few examples include Price Surveillance Tool (monitoring manufactured price increases, for formulary decisions); Trend Driver Tools (dynamic tool which drill downs into key drivers of trends); Client Forecast Models (automated process to forecast client's trend)Develop, perform and manage the analyses of business and financial metrics as well as performance measuresUnderstand and incorporate industry specific metrics into reports to highlight relevant trends and support fact-based business decisions
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree 5 or more years of actuarial and/or financial experience Experience in modeling, forecasting, and developing and implementing an appropriate action plan5 or more years of strong analytical skill sets - ability to build from scratch, or modify existing models2 or more years of experience with data mining capabilities (SAS and/or Access and/or SQL skills) Based in Cypress, CA Preferred Qualifications: Pharmacy experience Soft Skills:Strong work ethic, and ability to work collaborately with other teams / departmentsStrong communication - taking complex issues and simplifying to ensure understanding by all related areasStrong desire to make continuous improvements Careers with Optum.
