The University of Maryland,Baltimore's Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center (UMGCCC)is seeking a Program Administrator to oversee the administrative,financial, and clinical trials contracts of the Program in Oncology. TheProgram Administrator will assist leadership in defining short and long term goalsin support of UMGCCC's strategic plan and the University's core values,providing guidance and support to UMGCCC regarding program management, clinicaltrials/contracts, and development of program guidelines, processes andprocedures. This position will proactively identify and resolve programmaticissues and oversee improvement initiatives for the UMGCCC.

Provides expertise in strategic planning, organizational and management analysis, clinical trial and contracts management.
Partners with upper level administrators and other directors on a regular basis in setting strategic objectives, and in fostering improvements in policies and procedures for the entire cancer center.
Contributes to clinical research vision setting and implementation of expectations for employees to meet organizational goals.
Interfaces with Office of Research Development (ORD) and serves as a liaison with corporate sponsors and funding institutions.
Develops, disseminates, and approves standard operating procedures, guidelines, policies, processes, protocols, and training programs for operation and compliance within the Cancer Center.
Fosters collaboration across the UMB campus and system to resolve problems, establish new clinical trial funding opportunities, and maximize faculty resources.
Serves as a liaison with local state, federal agencies regarding research development and clinical trials, assuring compliance with all relevant federal and state guidelines.
Acts as a facilitator in balancing the needs of the Program and the University.
Supervision with consideration of departmental practices; establishes program practices as appropriate. Recruits, selects, evaluates and trains staff.
Performs research budgeting; pre and post award administration.
Education: Bachelor's degree inbusiness, public administration or related field.
Experience: Seven (7) years ofrelated experience in administrative and financial operations.
Supervisory: Four (4) years ofdirect management or leadership.
Preferred: Three (3) years offinance experience with at least one (1) year financial operations experiencepreferably in a clinical department involving complex funding sources.
