Reporting to the Telecommunications Program Manager, the Telecommunications Analyst will support the telecommunications program by responding to complex or non-standard client needs from solution architecture to implementation. The position includes coordinating various telecommunications systems, including multiple voicemail and contact center platforms, service lifecycle management, and support of the enterprise wide Cisco Unified Call Manager VoIP project implementation and the legacy Avaya PBX platform. This role will assist the Telecommunications Program Manager and work closely with other cross departmental professional, technical, and Tier 1 staff, and work on client, departmental or divisional projects and initiatives as needed.
3-5 years of experience in IT and business/industry, prior experience in the Telecommunications field, prior experience working with telephony systems
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Ability to quickly absorb technical information, proven experience learning and utilizing technical or computing systems, Microsoft Office – including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project.
Previous customer service experience, excellent organizer comfortable with managing large volumes of complex data.
Consistently meets deadlines and shifts gears comfortably, excellent communicator.
Proficient in all forms of communications including superior customer service skills.
Works collaboratively and builds relationships across all levels of an organization.
Outstanding team player with the skills needed to coordinate staff resources and activities across multiple functional areas.
Must be able to travel to all Tufts locations as needed.
Must work non-standard schedule if required.
Prior experience with VoIP, PBX and related business telephony systems, experience with Cisco Unified Communications or Avaya PBX systems is a plus.
Knowledge of provisioning and support systems for communications services, experience as participant on telephony infrastructure project implementation team.
Experience or familiarity with enterprise academic environments and various constituents across multiple sites.
Data analysis and visual presentation skills, public speaking.
Special Work Schedule Requirements: May be required to work additional hours during critical periods of the academic calendar and/or key projects and initiatives. Must be willing and able to participate in a 24x7x365 on call rotation and respond to time sensitive pages. Must be able to travel to all Tufts locations as needed; Must work non-standard schedule if required.
