Job Summary/Essential Job Functions: The Senior Compliance Consultant positionexist to function in conjunction with the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Equity,Diversity, and Student Rights/Title IX Coordinator in the overall management ofinstitutional compliance covering faculty, staff, students, medicalresidents/fellows and post docs. The incumbent provides advanced leveladministrative professional direction and counsel in areas requiringspecialized training, provides work direction and guidance to designatedpersonnel as an investigator of complaints, coordinator of programs, andpresenter on diversity and inclusion.
The SeniorCompliance Consultant shall be responsible for the following:
Investigates and resolves complaints (i.e., informal; formal) of unlawful discrimination/harassment which includes interviewing witnesses, analyzing evidence, and making determinations.
Leads efforts to move beyond compliance and toward seamless access in hiring and enrollment.
Collaborates with University offices, governmental agencies, and advocacy groups to inform decision-making and ensure University compliance with state and federal mandates.
Monitors and reports activity in HR Acuity to university departments/officials and assists with data reporting provided to the UT System, federal or state agencies.
Conducts training sessions particularly for small and large groups and on EEO/AA, Title IX, and diversity and inclusion related topics.
Analyzes complexworkplace conflict issues and concerns brought to the Office of Equity andDiversity that may warrant utilizing conflict resolution and mediation topresent a range of options to resolve conflict by candidly discussing problemsand issues and assisting the person(s) to analyze options. With campuspartners, lead the creation, implementation, and assist in facilitation ofsocial justice programming for faculty, staff, administration, students, andcommunity partners. Works independently on primary projects related tothe assigned administrative areas of responsibility that encompass compliance,EEO/AA assurance, investigations, information management, student conduct andtraining.
