The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) combines Deutsche Bank's Corporate Finance, Global Markets and Global Transaction Banking businesses. This new business division was created in 2017 with the aim to ensure greater alignment of product and sales efforts, enabling the bank to deliver a better service to clients and a more focused resource allocation.
Corporate Finance is comprised of regional and industry-focused coverage teams that ensure the delivery of the entire range of financial products and services to the bank's corporate clients. The business includes the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team as well as the debt and equity capital markets (DCM and ECM) teams.
Global Markets is dedicated to building long-term, sustainable relationships with the bank's key corporate and institutional clients. It combines a market-leading institutional sales force, world-class research with trading and structuring expertise to provide clients with access to liquidity and customised solutions across a wide range of markets, products and regions.
Global Transaction Banking (GTB) is a leading global provider of cash management, trade finance and securities services, delivering the full range of commercial banking products and services for both corporates and institutions worldwide.
The team will be managed through and report to CF Business Management
The team will support the deal teams in navigating the current approval processes and perform KYC activities
Manage the TCG team
Oversee and be a point of escalation for following activities
Raise New Client Adoption request
Understand nature of business, PEP/ negative news review
Navigate internal approvals e.g. AFC (Anti Financial Crime), BRG (Business Review Group) , CRAF (Client Risk Acceptance Forum) and organize escalation meetings
Client outreach (if business doesn't object)
Centre of competence to guide bankers' through approval stages
Strengthen controls to ensure all risk sign offs are obtained before commitment
Identify optimization potential in Deutsche Bank processes and team up with Infrastructure partners to address these
Settlement issue resolution and relevant documentation e.g. 3rd party payments
Independent monitoring of deal-related expense recovery
Manage COB capacity (prioritization)
The candidate will have
Minimum 5 years' experience in a KYC role or Loan Operations and an appreciation of the basic banking principles
Strong management skills
Experience necessary preferably in conjunction with Investment Banking and/or client outreach
Sound understanding of corporate finance and capital markets products, although training will be given where needed
Numerate and analytical with a high attention to detail
Confident, articulate and able to build rapport and strong relationships
Team player with strong communication skills
The candidate will be
5 years of relevant working experiences in banks / securities companies with knowledge of businesses and investment banking products
Solid experience in managing a team
Proficiency in Excel and other Office software
Proficiency in English and Mandarin
Strong communication skills
Experience with either KYC or loan operations
