This position provides technical support to the Land and Water Group projects and reports to Dr. Magner. The position will work closely with faculty and students to accomplish project goals and objectives.
Position is part-time, 20 hours/week.
Major Areas of Accountability:
20% Collect water and soil samples at research sites and deliver samples to designated labs 20% Conduct soil/water tests in the Magner lab 20% Keep track of undergrad activity including proper timesheet 10% Keep BAE room 14 and 16 orderly 10% Write project summary reports
10% Install data loggers and sensors with power sources 5% Calibrate field sondes and other equipment 5% Dig holes to install pipe for access tubes
* Position is represented by AFSCME Technical Bargaining Unit. Dues or Fair Share deductions will be made.
* Hourly Salary Range: $15.14 - $21.31
Required: High School Graduate/GED and 2 years of technical support on environmental engineering projects
• Experience reporting on the progress and direction of individual projects. • Experience with planning and conducting experiments and data collection. • Experience maintaining documentation and reports for data and procedures obtained from separate projects in an organized and logical manner.
• BS in a Bioproducts & Biosystems Engineering -Environmental or Soil and Water Science or related field; or a combination of related education and/or work experience related to the job totaling at least four (4) years
