The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Data Manager who will serve as a database manager for a federally funded single center and multicenter research projects in the Department of Physical Therapy. Responsibilities of the incumbent include designing data collection flow, forms, and structure based on clinical research and clinical trial protocols. The incumbent builds, maintains, and implements research data standards and quality metrics for single-center and multi-center research studies. He/she monitors input and validation of research data for multiple projects through structured queries specific to study design and outcomes. The incumbent communicates with statisticians and study teams on quality deficiencies and recommends preventative/corrective actions while supervising student aides or research assistants employed to assist in this effort.

Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position
Experience in clinical and/or health services research. Experience in diagnosing, profiling, reporting, tracking and resolving data quality issues Prior experience with research databases, data management, graphing, statistical software desired: REDCap, Microsoft Access, SAS, Excel, etc Basic understanding of the elements of the data integrity and data analysis techniques for research purposes.
