The Department of Ophthalmology at UMKC School of Medicine is looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow in the field of regenerative medicine for the treatment of vision diseases. This employee will work in the laboratory of Dr. Karl Kador. This position will focus on the use of tissue engineering techniques, combining biodegradable scaffolds with guidance cues expressed during development for the design of models and cell transplantation methods to both the retina and the cornea. Functional endpoints will be used for analyzing experiments with a goal of moving forward with in vivo testing and translating technologies. The successful applicant will be expected to design and conduct experiments, analyze results, write manuscripts and present results at national meetings.
