The UMKC School of Nursing and Health Studies' Collaborative to Advance Health Services (CAHS) is seeking a full-time Research Assistant to serve as a Project Coordinator for a federal grant (Mid-America ATTC) that will provide technical assistance and training to behavioral healthcare professionals in a four-state region (IA, KS, MO, NE).
Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day management support, including assisting the Associate Director
Work with faculty and staff to coordinate project implementation
Provide planning, coordination and logistics support for local, regional, and virtual training
Provide technical support in teleconferenced meetings/TA activities
Draft and edit materials for various print media, the Web, and activity announcements
Perform other duties that may be necessary or in the best interest of the federally grant-funded programs.
Bachelor's degree in psychology, public health, education, health services, public administration or other related field
Demonstrated success in managing projects similar in scope and size
Knowledge/experience in the substance use, mental health and/or public health field preferred
Strong project management and coordination abilities.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Must be able to prepare clear, sound, accurate, and informative email correspondence
Ability to participate in cohesive work groups while also able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Ability to work effectively with diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.
Must be detail-oriented, organized and able to keep orderly records.
Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Proficiency in Zoom teleconference technology
Full Time/Part Time
Full-time, 40 hours per week
Salary commensurate with experience.
