Ann’s Place (AP) offers short term counseling, support groups, wellness programs and educational offerings to anyone whose life has been affected by cancer. Due to the small number of paid staff, team members will have the opportunity to experience a broad range of responsibilities and have a far-reaching impact on the agency and the community at large. We welcome enthusiastic, compassionate, flexible and creative applicants who work well independently and in teams and who are willing to participate in a variety of activities, including some evening/weekend groups and programs.
The Clinical Social Worker provides direct services to cancer survivors and their families and friends on the phone and in the office. This includes group work, crisis counseling for the individual or family, short-term counseling, referral to appropriate services both in-house and in the community and follow-up to assess whether or not further support is needed.
The Clinical Social Worker is also responsible for program planning and implementation of workshops, educational lectures and forums, and various wellness programs. Because Ann’s Place is not restricted by insurance or state contracts, we seek staff who think outside the box and build programs which meet the changing needs of our clients. These programs are often planned in response to desires expressed through our annual client survey or other avenues of communication.
Maintain up-to-date client records, both paper and electronic. Follow Ann’s Place procedures, ensure confidentiality, ensure client data is correct in database (Client Track).
Using Client Track data base, assist with input of client records, attendance from groups as well as wellness programs and lectures.
Assist with accessing and running reports from Client Track data base.
