Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly motivated leader with a minimum of 2 years pharmacy practice experience. The supervisor is responsible to manage and lead interdisciplinary groups (clinicians, nurses, pharmacists, technicians, etc.) to collaborate and develop improved processes, tools and workflows to achieve clinical and organizational goals in the ambulatory setting that impact thousands of patients. Candidates must be familiar with the work and demonstrate the ability to plan strategically for the needs of the department and coordinate efforts across multiple teams within pharmacy. Previous leadership experience and/or residency training preferred. Must be able to obtain both an Oregon and Washington pharmacist license
Minimum two (2) years of clinical pharmacy practice or training. Education
Graduate of an accredited school of Pharmacy with a Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree. License, Certification, Registration
Unrestricted Oregon AND Washington Pharmacy license. License in state where assigned required within 90 days of hire/transfer, application for license in secondary state required within 2 weeks of hire/transfer and must be obtained within 6 months. (Duties will be restricted until licensed and a licensed Pharmacist must oversee the Pharmacist eligible for licensure.
Demonstrated program management experience.
Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise work teams.
Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate literature and evidence.
Demonstrated ability to work with clinicians to influence and develop evidence based drug prescribing guidelines, education and initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to access information systems used in impacting regional drug use decisions and guidelines.
Ability to design and/or build clinical information in KP Health Connect.
Exceptional communication (verbal and written) skills and people relationship skills.
PGY1 and/or PGY2 Residency or fellowship training or equivalent clinical experience preferred.
