Crittenton is a licensed FFA, accredited by both COA and Joint Commission. We have programs in five counties including residential, foster, wraparound, and mental health. Our FFA has been in operation since 1995. This opportunity is to expand our existing international foster care program specializing in unaccompanied youth and refugee minors.
Position requires an energetic self-starter with the comfort level to represent the agency on new turf, identify and cultivate stakeholders, recruit families, and passionately advocate for newcomers. Responsible for community outreach and engagement in refugee service community, immigrant advocacy programs, faith community, and other stakeholders. Attend refugee resettlement and immigrant advocacy meetings. Identify opportunities to recruit foster homes interested in supporting newcomers.Recruit, train and supervise social workers. Serve as a vital member of the FFA management team.
Must possess a masters degree in related field, licensure preferred. Prefer experience in traditional foster care, but will consider experience in refugee resettlement. Supervisory experience strongly preferred as the position with recruit and supervise social workers as the program expands. Must have excellent communication skills, comfort with speaking engagements and working independently. Must be passionate about serving newcomers and be prepared to counter anti-immigrant bias.
