FRONT END SOFTWARE ENGINEER, edX-Business Engineering Team, to join a team supporting businesses that provide high-quality education to their workforces at scale. Will serve as front-end expert, working closely with engineers, product management, and user experience to build solutions; and use modern tooling like React and Sass to build software that is scalable, reliable, and easy-to-use. Responsibilities include learning edX's technology stack, participating in the Scrum process, and taking advantage of the continuous integration process to ship code as soon as it's done; establishing strong working relationships with cross-functional team and other front-end experts; solving multiple business and user experience challenges; influencing front-end technology decisions; contributing to common pattern and component libraries used across edX web applications; and guiding other engineers on front-end best practices through code reviews and other feedback. While front-end development is the primary focus, will also pitch in where needed, i.e., back-end work, improving CI tooling, etc.
