The CCNY-MSKCC Partnership for Research, Training, and Community Outreach is a cross-institutional collaboration with research across the translational continuum, the creation of a training pipeline for attracting minority and low income students to careers in cancer research, and the establishment of community networks and resources for conducting community-based participatory research among diverse, at-risk population. As an integral member of the U54 CCNY-MSK Partnership team and in compliance with all regulatory, institutional, and departmental requirements, the Research Project/Data Coordinator is responsible for data- and information-management, protocol preparation, review and regulatory compliance.
Perform data analysis for Partnership database and research/community outreach projects.
Organize evaluation activities.
Prepare IRB submissions for community outreach protocols,
Help with writing technical and scientific reports and content for a variety of audiences.
Assist with special projects as determined by management.
Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, biostatistics or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
At least 3 years of relevant (clinical research & data analysis) experience (2 year with Masters), or as determined by hiring manager.
Good understanding of database structure and familiarity with common statistical packages for data management and conducting basic statistics.
Communication Skills: The ability to compose written correspondence and to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
Information Management Skills: Excellent organizational skills for a variety of data including publications, grants, trainee productivity etc
Time Management Skills: The ability to assess priorities among several tasks simultaneously and to function in diverse services/departments, sometimes on a daily basis, while meeting established guidelines.
Organization skills and ability to follow-through.
