The Research Program Manager works as a member of General Medicine's research and academics team. Responsibilities focus on growing the division's research and academics and include program/project management, study and analysis plan design; data acquisition, management. maintenance, and linkage; statistical and epidemiologic data analysis; interpretation of results; literature reviews; manuscript, presentation, report, IRB protocol, and proposal preparation; and liaison with investigators at other institutions.REQUIRED--Experience leading multiple large multisite research projects, preferably in an academic medical setting--Experience with scientific manuscript writing and data analysis in an academic or research setting--Experience performing and summarizing scientific literature reviews--Advanced understanding of principles of study design and execution and of statistical data analysis--Experience with Microsoft Access, Excel, SharePoint, or related database management software--Experience programming, managing and analyzing data using statistical software such as SAS, R or Stata--Thorough knowledge of administrative, budgetary, human resources, and financial principles and practices--Experience using project management software--Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing--Strong ability to work collaboratively with internal and external peers and managers--Strong ability to think creatively and independently on concepts requiring advanced analytical skills--Ability to maintain detail orientation and prioritize, altering priorities as circumstances require--Background facilitating collaboration with a variety of stakeholders with different priorities for project outcomes--Experience with projects or research involving human subjects PREFERRED--Master's or doctoral degree in informatics, epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, or related field--Experience with multidisciplinary research projects--Experience with hypothesis-driven data analysis, including linear and logistic regression and non-parametric regression--Supervisory experience with project or research assistants--Evidence of significant contributions to published research--Experience with fundraisingSPECIAL REQUIREMENT - THIS POSITION MAY BE SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, DRUG SCREEN, LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING, MEDICAL EVALUATION CLEARANCE, AND FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENT
