In collaboration with the Director of the Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (I4IE), this position manages, plans, implements and evaluates I4IE activities in order to support efficient and professional communications amongst students, stakeholders, administration and the public; enhance revenue; increase enrollment; advise & instruct I4IE students; and develop, plan and execute research data collection on program outcomes. This position is also responsible for identifying, cultivating, stewarding and soliciting funds to support activities for I4IE.
PROGRAM MANAGEMENT - OPERATIONS - Manage and coordinate the daily operations of I4IE and other specific events; Independently plan, coordinate, administer and implement the I4IE activities; Within delegated areas of authority, exercise independent judgment in interpretation of policies, procedures, and regulations; Provide leadership for program development, implementation and evaluation strategies - Resolves problems - Maintain public relations presence including website and possible social and conventional media presence. - Prepare an annual I4IE progress report for internal and external stakeholders - Identify and organize the communication and work of the external advisory committee - Schedule and coordinate internal/external advisory committee meetings, monthly round-table meetings - Coordinate and plan high school & community outreach programs. - Support the Director with the continued growth and development of the CWU Entrepreneurship Program by recruiting and advising students, developing curriculum, and program evaluation; respond to student’s questions, providing information to students and faculty about I4IE, policies, and procedures, collaborate with the office of Student Advising; - Support the design and development of an Entrepreneurship Major at CWU. - Supervise and support course instructors of program. - Assist in identification and recruitment of skilled instructors and professional mentors for program. - Identify key student audiences to increase enrollment; collaborate with Public Affairs and Enrollment Management staff - Assist in I4IE program management - Contribute ideas for innovative solutions to problems - Represent I4IE as appropriate
INSTRUCTION/INSTRUCTION SUPERVISION - Teach courses and employ appropriate learning strategies to maximize desired outcomes. - Develop instructional plan to ensure that it meets/exceeds the program standards - Plan lessons and assignments - Stay informed about changes/innovations in field - Supervise instruction support staff - Interact with students to support them in the learning process
RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT - Identify, investigate, facilitate and secure opportunities for targeted funding, contracts, grants and gifts; identify external funding opportunities and write and submit grant and contract proposals - Initiate and cultivate relationships and partnerships required to produce funding from individuals, public and private organizations in the form of scholarships and donations; initiate and develop relationships and partnerships with relevant federal, state, local and private agencies, organizations and corporations; collaborate with university development staff. - Coordinate calls for proposals and proposal review for I4IE funding - Assist the I4IE Director in matching faculty expertise with potential funding sources; promote and assist I4IE -affiliated faculty in proposal development and proposal submission by faculty - Support research design & data collection on students and outcomes in entrepreneurship program.
COMMUNICATIONS - Develop and promote a communications vehicle for alumni, faculty and stakeholders interested in tracking I4IE activities

Graduate degree or graduate degree near completion in field relevant to program with proven communication, management and development skills.
Background in product development/entrepreneurship.
Demonstrated experience in project management
Ability to conduct research, collect data and rudimentary data analysis.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of programs

Ability to collaborate with a wide variety of individuals, inside and outside the university.

Master’s degree in field relevant to innovation, technology, entrepreneurship.
Experience in higher education academic advising
Fiscal experience, training, and/or education
Experience in postsecondary curriculum development
