Valley Children’s Hospital, part of one of the nation’s largest pediatric healthcare networks, is seeking a BE/BC Child Abuse Pediatrician to join Philip Hyden, M.D., J.D. in The Guilds of Children’s Hospital Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Center in Madera, California.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a child advocacy physician with vision, passion for their work, and an interest in clinical research to join a collegial team at one of California’s leading centers for advocacy, injury prevention, clinical research, and academic training.
The Guilds Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Center is composed of the Child Advocacy Clinic. As a member of the Center’s Child Advocacy Team, you’ll work to address the physical and emotional needs of children suspected of being abused or neglected. The Clinic operates five days a week and sees more than 1,000 children each year. Thanks to a generous $5 million endowment, plans to expand both the Center and staff are underway.
At Valley Children’s, you’ll work with over 550 physicians at this state-of-the-art, 358-bed facility that sits on a 50-acre campus in Madera, California. In addition to the main hospital, the campus contains medical and professional buildings, a heliport, and sits next to the Ronald McDonald House. Valley Children’s also offers a 106-bed NICU (including regional satellites) and a 38-bed PICU.
Valley Children’s Healthcare incorporates one of the largest freestanding children’s hospitals in the nation, along with a medical foundation and network of physicians, clinics and satellite facilities around the region. Those facilities include the Neonatal Intensive Care Units the network owns and operates in Fresno, Hanford and Merced, and its outpatient physician offices in Modesto, Merced and Bakersfield.
