Essential Functions: JOB PURPOSEProvide basic and essential support to Design and Construction Department mainly Project Managers on construction projects, and move management servicesESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSSupport Project Managers with the execution of their contruction projects by assisting with access to the sites, coordination of moves, activation of phones and data, video taping training and miscellanous other support functions.Provide move management services by meeting with the customers, coordinating phone and data activation with C&IT, prepare move plans, solicit bids with the support of P&SS when size necessitates, prepare contracts and purchase orders, approve invoices and direct movers during the actual move. Coordinate the disbursement of property to the Property Office and E-Waste with OEHS.Provide AutoCAD drafting support when necessary for simple plans and updating the campus map. Assist archivist when needed.Assist in field investigations to determine the nature of an issue such as locating temperature recording devices and down loading data for analysis by Project Managers or Department Senior Director.Perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: EDUCATIONHigh school completion (or GED). Associates Degree preferred.EXPERIENCEFive years experience in move management preferred.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESPlanning and Organizing: Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously, prioritize and plan work activities while meeting respective deadlines. Strong organizational and time management skills. Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and professionally both orally and in writing. Strong interpersonal skills are required. Financial Skills: Understanding basic construction financial management, accounting and cost analysis. Technology Skills: Proficient in the use of current software such as Microsoft Office suite of programs and Microsoft Project.Ability to access equipment which may be at any height and angle from below ground level to several stories high. Ability to work in varying construction site conditions utilizing appropriate safety precautions.
