The Manager is responsible for building relationships and creating awareness among corporate and community organizations with regard to the benefits of hiring College of Business students and graduates and of the services of the College's Career Success Center. The goals of the position are to increase job and internship postings, recruitment, and post-graduate placement rate and hiring activity for College of Business students and graduates among employers in Portland, Corvallis, and the regions of Oregon.
The Manager will work closely with colleagues on the strategic initiatives team to steward partnerships with employers. And, the Manager will facilitate connections between employers and strategic initiatives team members, who will advance the College's relationships with employers and deepen our partnerships with them.

This position may be based in Corvallis or in Portland. Regardless of primary work location, regular travel to employers' facilities, many of which are Portland-based, will be required.
Typically requires Bachelor's degree in field related to assigned responsibilities. Experience developing and engaging in strategic partnerships with external stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or other relevant field.
Three years of experience in corporate relations, sales or fundraising/development.
Project management experience, including planning and prioritizing simultaneous projects and responding with flexibility to urgent or unexpected requests.
Strong oral and written communications skills, including excellent proofreading and presentation skills.
Customer service experience.
Demonstrable ability to work independently and in a team environment, to take initiative, and to meet strict deadlines.
High computer proficiency, for example with Microsoft Office Suites or equivalent, PowerPoint or equivalent, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, working knowledge of Outlook, and database experience.
Experience creating reports in Excel or other report writing system.
Demonstrable commitment to diversity and inclusion.
This position requires driving a University vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the University; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Motor Vehicle History Check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions (as per Voluntary and Compulsory Driver Standards OAR 125-155-0200) as per OAR 576-056-0000 et seq.
The College of Business is seeking a Manager, Employer Relations. This is a full-time 1.0 FTE, 12-month, fixed term professional faculty position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Dean.
The Manager, Employer Relations will be expected to meet with employers predominantly in Portland, though some presence at the OSU Corvallis campus (a minimum of twice per month) will be expected. Though responsibilities for this position are predominantly between the hours of 8am – 5pm Monday through Friday, some evenings and weekends will be required.
The position will require using a personally owned vehicle for regular travel between Corvallis and Portland, and within the Portland area to meet with industry partners.
