Project Scientist position at Nanomedicine Research Center, Cedars-Sinai, Los Angeles, is currently open.
We are seeking a Project Scientist with experience in immunology, cancer biology and preclinical tumor treatment. The job will include studying the therapeutic properties and molecular biological /immunological mechanisms of new nano-immuno drugs, checkpoint inhibitors anti-tumor effect, which will be optimized for clinical efficacy to treat brain and breast tumors under the direction of Dr. Julia Ljubimova at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Education: PhD /MD, PhD degrees with completion of postdoctoral appointment in area of specialization. Demonstrated significant, original, and creative contributions to a research or creative program or project. Completion of postdoctoral appointment in area of specialization.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a post doctoral fellow. Works independently on research projects within area of specialization. Must possess knowledge of P’s area of research specializataion. Strong knowledge of molecular, immunological and cell biology methods. Demonstrated significant, original, and creative cintribuitions to a research or creative program / project. Demonstrated aptitude to perform experimental protocols and procedures, including detailed data collection, and analysis and operationt. Knowledge of safety standards and maintenance of specialized equipment. Demonstrated or ability to learn technical competency in a variety of research techniques and protocols including molecular, immunological and cell biology methods. Strong computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, PowerPoint). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent organization skills and very detail-oriented; learns new tasks quickly; self-motivated; works well independently with minimal supervision; works well with others, and able to multitask. Strong interpersonal skills for interaction with peers, patients, physicians, and other customers of the medical center
