Under the direction of the Director of Research & Prospect Management, the Associate Director, Research & Prospect Management (ADRPM) will be responsible for performing a wide range of prospect development services including, but not limited to, prospect identification, data and trend analysis, electronic wealth screening analysis, pipeline analysis, data mining, portfolio optimization, and detailed prospect research. He/she will also contribute to executive research needs on an as-needed basis. The ADRPM will develop strategies and encourage effective research and prospect management efforts that are forward-looking, capitalizing on emerging technologies and existing resources. He/she will meet regularly with client groups and informally survey those we support to ensure needs are being met.
Work may be required evenings, weekends, and during established University events such as the annual President’s Circle Dinner and All-American Weekend and/or to meet deadlines. Position located at the 4401 Connecticut Avenue NW location.

Bachelor’s degree required.
At least five years of experience in prospect research and management or similar positions involving data analytics, data mining, biographical/genealogical research or financial research
Experience with proactive fundraising management and research techniques and best practices
Experience using online databases such as LexisNexis, WealthEngine, Foundation Directory, Foundation Search, and iWave. Ability to analyze and interpret SEC documents
Experience interpreting and analyzing data, using insights to achieve desired outcomes
Excellent oral and written communication skills demonstrated by clear, concise, and persuasive writing, public speaking, and private discourse
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and a demonstrated experience successfully working with persons from diverse backgrounds
Proficiency in MS Word (merges, advanced formatting), MS Excel (including filtering, equations), and MS Access (queries, mail merges, forms)
Ability to use discretion when working with highly confidential information
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline-oriented environment
