This position oversees all operations of The Tutoring Lab and the Tutor Referral System. The Tutoring Lab provides tutoring in all high need subjects with the exception of writing and math. The Tutor Referral System connects students to tutors in subjects/courses not offered in The Tutoring Lab. In collaboration with colleagues in the Academic Support and Access Center, the Assistant Director is responsible for recruiting, training and supervising Tutoring Lab tutors, updating and maintaining policies concerning the Tutoring Lab and Tutor Referral System, and staying up to date on scholarship relating to tutoring center administration and practices. This position is responsible for all outreach and engagement activities on behalf of the Tutoring Lab. This position maintains a close relationship with department chairs, other faculty members, and academic advisors to ensure that tutoring offerings are responsive to curricular changes and departmental needs. The Assistant Director works closely with the Director, Academic Support to develop academic support programs. The Assistant Director provides academic support to students through workshop presentations, one-on-one appointments, and program development. The Assistant Director is responsible for conducting annual reviews of tutoring services and needs assessments of academic support services offered. The Assistant Director fills in for the Director, Academic Support as needed.

Master’s degree is required.
Three to five years of related professional experience in an education setting
