The Administrative Assistant 3 provides complex project coordination and administrative support for the three primary areas within Institutional Effectiveness, namely Institutional Research, Assessment and Accreditation, and University Strategic Planning. Reporting to the Associate Vice-Provost for Institutional Effectiveness, this position serves as lead coordinator for a variety of complex projects and requires excellent organization and attention to detail. This person in this position will independently plan, organize, and prioritize work, keeping the Associate Vice-Provost and the three office Directors informed of the status of projects and assignments.

Conditions of Employment

AA degree or equivalent AND
Three years of progressively responsible experience in office/clerical, secretarial, bookkeeping, accounting, or general administrative work.
Specific Position Requirements
Demonstrated ability to compose correspondence and to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Strong computer skills to include MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.), MS Outlook, web page updating.
Demonstrate ability to work independently.
Demonstrate ability to deal with critical and time sensitive processes.
Demonstrate ability to maintain confidentiality of verbal or written documents and sensitive data.
Demonstrate ability to read, understand and interpret procedures.
Demonstrate and foster a culture of ethical leadership, a commitment to diversity, and encourage a supportive team-oriented work environment.
Candidate must demonstrate interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency, universal accessibility and/or diversity.
Bachelor's degree (any field)
Experience and expertise in the area of integrating graphics into documents.
Two additional years of relevant office experience, such as experience working in the office of an executive or chief administrator.
Experience working in a state institution of higher learning.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills to include Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
