We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sr. Dir-Supply Chain Operations.
The Sr. Director of Supply Chain Operations is responsible for administering and directing NYU Langone Medical Centers system-wide Supply Chain program to insure best practice supply chain strategies are fully deployed and utilized throughout. The Sr. Director of Supply Chain Operations leads partners with the Vice President of Supply Chain Management in the efforts to enhance supply chain processes through an integrated approach to logistics, the redesign of supply chain related work flow, and the development of advanced inventory management and purchasing mechanisms. Supports strategic initiatives by developing relationships with key members of senior leadership teams across the Health System and external partners.
Ensure Supply Chain objectives are in sync with other hospital activities including strategy development, resource allocation, and project prioritization.
Develop business processes and relationships that move away from traditional methodologies and set a new standard for collaboration on quality, service integration, and cost management.
Implement organizational strategies through planning and development of department and manager objectives, setting of performance standards and measurement of internal processes and outcomes.
Lead the department's continuous quality improvement process to achieve best value provider performance and ensure customer satisfaction.
Actively researches and evaluates alternative service delivery methods to meet the changing needs of the organization.
Assist Vice President with preparation of annual department budgets and capital appropriation requests, with well-developed financial analyses, justifications, and priority rankings. Monitor and ensure that financial performance targets and commitments are achieved.
Promote efficient information and work flow with an emphasis on eliminating redundancy.
Ensure that centralized purchasing, customer service and inventory model is efficient, focused on customer needs, and fully achieves the economies of scale of reduced local work force.
To qualify you must have a Education: Masters degree with 7 years of progressive related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Five years management experience in progressive change management role.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
