Oversees the management and direction of the Office of Academic Integrity & Student Conduct (OAISC). The Director supervises an Associate Director of Academic Integrity, Academic Integrity & Student Conduct (AISC) officers, and a Policy Analyst on case adjudication, implementing systems and solutions to resolve ongoing case management issues and serving as the campus main point of contact for all student disciplinary issues. The Office of Academic Integrity & Student Conduct is solely responsible for imposing campus-wide disciplinary action for academic misconduct and student behavior including suspension and dismissal from the university. The Director supports campus stakeholders with crisis mitigation and works closely with students in distress.Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to: supervising the AISC team, receiving and analyzing reports, maintaining confidential records, determining culpability and imposing sanctions, providing consultation to academic units regarding disruptive and/or distressed students. The Director serves as a key system administrator handling access rights to student disciplinary files in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act. The Director serves as a core member of the University of California Irvine (UCI) Consultation Team, the campus behavioral intervention team. The Director also serves as a core member of the Case Management Team (CMT), a response team designed to address all forms of sexual violence, dating, and domestic violence, and stalking. The Director is responsible for ensuring campus compliance with local and federal laws such as the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), Title IX, Drug-Free Schools Act, and the Clery Act.
