Gannon University, a Catholic university, invites applications for the position of Supervisor, Gannon Press and Distribution Services. The Supervisor is responsible for managing the Gannon University Press and Distribution Services. Responsibilities include reproduction and/or printing and mailing of instructional, administrative, and operational print materials; personnel, press and distribution services budget, physical plant planning, equipment maintenance and inventory. The successful candidate will work closely with University Marketing and Communications to ensure the execution of quick turn-around, high-quality print and direct response projects. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment, working independently as well as with members of a cross-functional team. Candidates must also be able to support the Mission.
Requirements include a high school diploma (or equivalent) and five years of supervisory experience. Additional required experience includes: supervising a print shop or printing facility, sales experience and experience coordinating distribution and mailing of printed materials, and two years of related experience; or five years of journey level experience in the operation of offset duplicating and digital printing and finishing practices, and three years of record keeping and public contact work in a service-oriented organization desirable; or a combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities of operating principles and capabilities of printing and mailroom equipment; functions of each printing operation including the graphic artwork, photographs and plate making, digital press, make-ready workstation and bindery; supervisory principles; cast certification requirements and regulations.
