The Office Global Initiatives (OGI) seeks an organized, detail oriented professional for the position of International Partnerships Manager. This position serves as a member of the International Partnerships team and assists University of Arizona faculty and scholars collaborating with partner institutions abroad with project management and negotiating the terms of partnership agreements. Conducting assessment of activity related to international partnerships and producing annual reports are also key responsibilities of this position. Duties and Responsibilities
Work with University of Arizona faculty and scholars and partner institutions abroad to develop and manage international partnership agreements (e.g. general institutional agreements; certificate to masters; main campus dual degrees; transfer articulation agreements; fundamental research; scholar exchange; and student exchange)
Coordinate closely with other units in the Office of Global Initiatives and offices on campus as needed in order to ensure university requirements for international partnership programs and agreements are met (e.g. including the Office of International Education; International Admissions; Academic Affairs; Graduate College; UA Online; the Center for English as a Second Language; Research, Discovery, and Innovation; General Counsel; Risk Management Services; and other relevant units)
Administer seed grants for international program development and oversee communication with peer review committee members and applicants
Assist with the development of scholarly related workshops or symposia
Work with marketing team to implement the marketing and communication plan related to international partnerships
Utilize dedicated software systems to manage international partnership information and project management
Streamline and expedite operational procedures for developing international partnership initiatives
Conduct annual assessment and reporting on activity related to international partnership initiatives
Supervise student assistant’s projects related to international partnerships
Attend all OGI Staff meetings
Serve as member of OGI committees/task forces as required
Contribute to the collaborative planning and execution of OGI strategic priorities
Represent UA locally, nationally and internationally, as needed
Maintain currency in field through professional development. Attend NAFSA National Conferences and workshops and other international education conferences as appropriate on a rotating basis (e.g. EAIE, APAIE, etc).
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Master’s degree in higher education, international relations, business administration, or related discipline and a minimum of three years of experience in a related role
Experience engaging in international partnership development and execution of projects
Demonstrated track record for developing processes for managing academic program development and agreements
Desire and ability to engage in travel related to professional development as needed
Excellent organization, communication and presentation skills
Demonstrated administrative leadership skills, including creative problem-solving
Knowledge of program assessment and evaluation methods
Ability to effectively communicate with people from a variety of culturally diverse backgrounds
Strong writing and communication skills
Experience in communicating and working closely with others in a project team scenario
Experience in effectively working across disciplines, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration
Working knowledge of university and college systems, program development, and operational protocols
Demonstrated commitment to the principles of diversity
