The Department of Statistics at the University of Florida invites applications for the following positions:
(i) Three full-time, nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professors to begin in August 2018. There will be one position in each of the following three areas: 1) analysis of spatio-temporal data; 2) statistical/machine learning, and 3) computational statistics.
(ii) Two open-rank, tenure-track faculty positions affiliated with the UF Informatics Institute, to begin August 2018. Successful candidates will have an established research program in statistics with an emphasis on data science and interests in interdisciplinary research contributing to the mission of the UF Informatics Institute. Candidates at the associate or full professor level should have an established record of publication in leading journals and success in obtaining extramural funding.
Duties for each position include teaching, research, and service. A PhD in statistics or a closely related field is required.
