A complex technology-based position reporting to the Associate Vice President for Technology, the Public Safety Information Systems Manager will be responsible for the efficient, accurate, and timely management of Public Safety databases. Responsibilities include refining and supporting the physical access control environment across multiple campuses and locations. System specific expertise and hands-on management of public safety systems to include card access, CCTV, and Blackboard Transact. The position also requires regular and routine interaction with the University’s Department of Public Safety.
System Management familiarity in one or more of the following areas:
? Four (4) year degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
? A minimum of five (5) years of related experience
? Knowledge of Physical Access Point infrastructure, including hardware and software.
? Card/Location Access Architecture and Design including access group schema and best practices for ease of management and security.
? Resource Provisioning
? Role Base Access Control
? Hands-on development experience with Protégé Door Access solution preferred.
? Familiarity with Blackboard Transact as a credential production environment.
? Experience with data management.
? Familiarity with major operating systems such as Microsoft Windows and SQL.
? Experience with Exacq CCTV systems is preferred.
