Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) is recruiting for a leader who is passionate about accessible education for all. As one of the key leaders at RVCC, you will be in a position to be a catalyst for supporting the strategic plans of the college, by establishing collaborative partnerships and promoting our core values of access, affordability, equity, sustainability and academic excellence.
The Director of the Foundation will work closely with the College President, Senior College Staff, and the RVCC Foundation Board. The primary functions include managing the foundation staff, operations, fundraising, institutional advancement, development activities, scholarship administrations, fund management, grants, and community outreach. In addition, the Director of the Foundation will be responsible for designing and implementing a short and long term strategy to expand financial support to the college with a pipeline of financial resources to achieve annual revenue goals.
The ideal candidate possesses a minimum 5 years of progressive fundraising experience including annual giving, planned giving, solicitation of major gifts, corporate and foundation relations, grant writing, and board development. Experience in higher education is preferred. Candidates must be goal oriented to meeting and exceeding revenue targets and be able to motivate and manage employees in a collaborative environment. Additionally, candidates must possess a high degree of professionalism and excellent external representation and presentation skills, including exceptional oral and written communications and relationship building skills to be successful in this role. A genuine passion for the nonprofit sector and a basic understanding of the role of boards in leading and advising nonprofit organizations.
